Saturday 13th October - Sporting Extravaganza!
Kingston Park plays host to a sporting extravaganza on and off the pitch this Saturday, with both rugby and football on the menu.
The main pitch at Kingston Park kicks the day off at 1pm as Newcastle Blue Star host Lancaster City in the Unibond North League, with tickets priced only £5 for adults, £3 for concessions and £1 for juniors.
Attention then turns to the big screen in The Hiding Place Sports Bar, where Newcastle’s Michael Owen and his England side do battle with Estonia in the Euro 2008 qualifiers, kicking off at 3pm with a free buffet.
Finally, Rugby World Cup action ends the day’s sporting festivities at 8pm as England aim to book their place in the final of the competition, with a number of Newcastle Falcons players to the fore.
As if that wasn’t enough incentive to come to Kingston Park and check out the game on the big screen, The Hiding Place will be serving half price drinks every time England score a try (offer lasts for the ten minutes after each try).
This great offer is on top of the regular happy hours, which run from 4.30pm to 7pm and again from 9.30pm to 11pm.

Newcastle Blue Star is proud to announce that they have recently forged a link with the Newcastle School Sports Partnership.
“All children, whatever their circumstances or abilities should be able to participate in and enjoy physical; education and sport.”
The Newcastle School Sport Partnerships are located at Benfield Sports College in Newcastle upon Tyne and were originally established in 2000 as part of the Governments PE, School Sport and Club Links (PESSCL) strategy. The School Sport Partnerships are families of schools that work together to enhance sport and physical education opportunities for all young people in their schools.
The Newcastle partnerships work with and support 98 schools, over 2,000 staff and approximately 30,000 young people. They also work with a wide range of strategic partners to increase the opportunities for young people to become involved in co-ordinated physical education, school sport, out of school hours learning and community sport.
Rebecca Chambers Promotions Manager states “We are working together to promote sport, in particular football to children across the North East. Newcastle Blue Star is a supporter owned, community based club & issues like encouraging children to get involved in sport are very important to us.”
“We also think it’s important to nurture Newcastle’s home grown talent, we would love to see some local lads in our first team in years to come. “

A Change In Kick-Off Time...
Please note that the Blue Star Vs Lancaster City game on Saturday 13th October is now kicking-off at the earlier time of 1pm. This is to ensure we don't clash with England playing Estonia in one of their Euro 2008 qualifiers on the same day.

Newcastle Blue Star move grounds!

Kington Park west stand
The 2007/2008 campaign sees Newcastle Blue Star play at what will be one of the best appointed non-league football grounds in the country.
This is a massive move for the modest club which began as a social team winning the FA Sunday League Cup, but has now become one of the North-East’s most recognised names.
Blue Star are due to stage all their home fixtures next season at Kingston Park, the home of Newcastle Falcons Rugby Union team.
Recent developments have taken Kingston Park up to a huge capacity of 10,000 and facilities include The Hiding Place a sports & lounge bar, Due Dieci an Italian restaurant, and numerous food kiosks and concourse bars, making Kingston Park one of the best equipped grounds in the league.
Director of football Bob Morton has his say on the move “Kingston Park is a fantastic facility, unrivalled in the non-league system and a fitting home for such an ambitious club as Blue Star.”
