Garforth Vs Newcastle Blue Star

On a pleasant Tuesday evening Blue Star took the field against fifth in the table Garforth Town away at Garforth. Both teams had chances to get on top in the first half but neither team could convert. Blue Star had strikers Phil Bell and Lee Novak sidelined through injury from Saturdays victory at home against Chorley, so were always going to struggle to find the back of the net.
 
However, in the second half we came close, and looked by far the fittest team when Chris Emms shot just past the post and Ben Pringle hit the crossbar. Despite no goals comming from either team it was an entertaining match but Blue Star didn't do quite enough to take all three points.
