Woodley Sports Vs Blue Star

Blue Star traveled down the M1 on Saturday & crushed Woodley Sports in a 5 goal thriller to remain on the tail of league leaders Curzon Ashton.

Chris Emms gave the Star the perfect start when he fired home after only 2 minutes. Then, soon after the lead was doubled when Lee Novak scored half way through the first period. Just before half time new signing Scott Bell bagged a third & the Blues looked comfortable going into the break.

Early in the second half the home side did manage to pull one back via Nick Boothby, offering a small glimmer of hope to their supporters. But, any thought of a come back was soon quashed when David McTiernan completed the game with a fourth goal.

This win ensures that Blue Star keep within the play-off realms....
