Ossett Albion Vs Blue Star

Blue Star gave debut’s to new signings Lee Andrews (Torquay) and Mark McLeod (Darlington) away at Ossett on Wednesday night. Blue Star started very brightly, however against the run of play Ossett managed to take the lead through Senior with a well struck volley from the edge of the box.
Undeterred Star kept pressing and had some good attempts on the Ossett goal, but the score stayed at 1-0. Ossett were lucky to still have eleven men on the pitch though as the referee missed an elbow on Ben Webster that cost him two teeth.
Blue Star started the second half as well as they finished the first and although star had most of the possession they never capitalised on this, barely testing Neil Bennett in the Ossett goal. Therefore the match ended 1-0 to Ossett.
